Lola
The Life of Lola Montez; a true story of passion and pain
Directed by Emily Gray and devised Trestle Theatre Company
Number 8

Presented by Trestle in collaboration with Increpación Danza

Lola Montez, the infamous 19th Century fake Spanish dancer, actress and femme fatale, stormed her way through life in a tumultuous journey of seduction, sorrow and success.

In Trestle's new production, Lola prepares for her very last performance and revisits her bittersweet story from humble Irish-born beginnings to the glamour of international high-life.

Told through a fiery blend of flamenco dance and rhythm, text and live music, the show plays with the truth and illusion of public and private personas and questions the personal cost of celebrity.
