Motionhouse Dance Theatre
Driven
Artrix, Bromsgrove

Motionhouse explodes on stage in a head-on collision with reality. Five performers race in the fast lane, dodging the flying debris, as their lives literally fall apart around them. Driven presents life as a series of significant moments, seductive decisions to be made and their physical consequences. Another heart in your mouth dance theatre production from Motionhouse, Driven is all about wanting MORE… shining the spotlight on the motivating forces that drive our lives. Spinning in and out of offices, bars and homes, emotions defy gravity and it’s hard to keep your feet on the ground – in reaching for next thing you risk losing everything. Driven fuses live action and film, seamlessly integrating highly physical dance, breathtaking flying and striking theatrical imagery.

“A ferociously energetic performance style with a slick and glossy assault on contemporary values.”
The Guardian

"Dynamic, fast paced action… dancers swing, flip and roll alongside and over each other… Driven employs aerial work with thrilling skill, at one point it even takes on supernatural suggestions”
The Times
